| “Monkeys, Monkeys, Sitting in a Tree” Monkeys, monkeys, sitting in a tree. Monkeys, monkeys, with big families. Monkeys, monkeys, falling out of the tree. Monkeys, monkeys, crying to their knees. Monkeys, monkeys, boo-boos on their knee. Monkeys, monkeys, bandaged now they’re pleased. Monkeys, monkeys, feeling better again. Monkeys, monkeys, sitting in a tree. “I Am Thankful For…” I am thankful for water, food, family, friends, air… Air – so I will never know death. Water – so I will never know thirst. Food – so I will never know hunger. Family – so I will always know love and much more. Freedom – so I will never know prison. Friends – so I will never know lonliness. Ronan Jared, grade 3, Grey Central Public School |
